Abstract

The interpretation of the prohibition of usury in the Qur'an is not directly prohibited, but rather goes through stages according to the conditions of Arab society during the Jahiliyyah period, as is known, usury is a tradition of the Jahiliyyah Arabs which became their economy and is deeply rooted in the life of the Arab people and cannot be easily changed.
