PERAN AYAH DALAM PENDIDIKAN TAUHID

Abstract

Parents have an important role to play in their children's formative years. Both mother and father have their roles and as the hadith prophet saw that it is the parents who will make a child into Muslim, political, jewish or Christian. Although mother was madrosatul ula (first school) for her children, father was the principal. In other words, the father's role in tauhid's education is so great. It corresponds to the story of ketauhidan that is found in the qur 'an where the verse is said to be a conversation between a father and his son. One of them was qs. - luqman. Tauhid's first education is to echo adzan in his child's ear for the moment of his birth. This meant that a father had taught and introduced that no rabb was to be worshipped but that god was god. Tauhid's education is vital early on. Even long before a child is born into the world. Thus the father's role is most dominating in tauhid's education because even by choosing a prayer mate is one of the father's roles in educating his children.
