Abstract
This regional account of Germany examines both the Federal and the Democratic Republics. The general section demonstrates the history of the separation of the two countries, and their main characteristics. Section 2 deals with the landscape by means of case studies. Section 3 examines economic structures and the trade links of both areas. -D.J.Davis
