Abstract
This program aims to improve literacy skills in reading and writing among children in rural areas of Merauke, who still face disparities in access to quality education. Through a participatory approach, the program involves teachers, parents, and the local community in implementing literacy activities designed to foster reading interest and enhance children's writing abilities. Activities include providing relevant reading materials, training for teachers and volunteers, and interactive reading and writing sessions. Preliminary results show a significant improvement in children's literacy skills and increased community awareness of the importance of literacy education. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable model that can be replicated in other rural areas in Indonesia.
