Abstract

In this paper, ethyl glucose (Glc), 2-amino-4-methyl-5-phospho-3-pentenoate (AMEPA) and p-toluene sulfonic acid (PTS) were esterified, and the esterified products were polymerized with acrylic acid (AA), 4-hydroxybutylvinyl polyoxyethylene ether (VPEG), initiator (APS) and chain transfer agent (ME) in free radical solution to prepare polycarboxylate superplasticizer with high water retention. The performance test results show that the product has high water-reducing ratio and better workability when applied to concrete, which can effectively retain the moisture in concrete and ensure the stability of concrete fluidity.
