Abstract
Soft clays are defined as cohesive soil whose watercontent is higher than its liquid limits. Thus, soil-cement mixing isadopted to improve the ground conditions by enhancing the strengthand deformation characteristics of the soft clays. For the abovementioned reasons, a series of laboratory tests were carried out tostudy some fundamental mechanical properties of cement stabilizedsoft clay. The test specimens were prepared by varying the portion ofordinary Portland cement to the soft clay sampl
