Abstract

One aspect of creating a successful character design is the story. Although fairy tales are not the most important aspect of character development, stories will help us in identifying and developing characters through story character attributes. So that we can build a character with a striking image. Character designers must remember that characters are always created to help a story run smoothly. The purpose of this research is to find out and understand the application of character design and Art Direction in designing animated film characters. The research methodology used in this study is a literature review, which consists of a sequence of actions related to collecting library data, reading and taking notes, and organizing research materials.
