Abstract

Solitary fibrous tumors of the liver are rare and are seldom reported in the literature. We report on this tumor in a patient who presented with a large hepatic tumor and severe hypoglycemia. Ultrasonography showed a huge, well-defined tumor with heterogeneous echogenicity. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed slight enhancement in the arterial phase and relatively obvious uneven enhancement in the portal venous phase. On the basis of the large size, imaging features, and clinical symptom of hypoglycemia, solitary fibrous tumor should be included in the differential diagnoses.
