Abstract

The purpose of this article was to review the domains of health care disparities and their impact on health care for persons with spinal cord injury (SCI). The determinants of health disparities are entrenched in public policy and health insurance, the economic environment, the places where we live, the built environment, and the knowledge base of health care professionals on disability issues. © 2011 Thomas Land Publishers, Inc.
