Abstract

This research is a contribution to reflection in the field of flexible education at the undergraduate level of the second largest public university in Colombia, founded in 1803. The study was carried out from a paradigm Interpretive constructivist, with a qualitative approach and Grounded Theory design. To propose a pedagogical model for virtual education, two implementations were made: the first in a free course through WhatsApp, the second in a Journalism undergraduate course that was developed through Meet, Classroom and WhatsApp. The data related to interactions, collected during the two implementations showed that for flexible education in virtual mode, this aspect plays a central role. It was also evidenced that mediation strategies can use different communication channels and activities, with new expressive forms native to cyberspace such as memes, gifs, live broadcasts, podcasts or stickers.
