Abstract
An elevation of oxygen consumption after feeding is generally known in fishes as well as other animals. However, the measurement on fish has been restricted only to small fishes.1) The present study was un- dertaken to provide fundamental data for the energy metabolism and the culture of yellowtail, which has been widely reared in Japan and is regarded as an active swimmer.
