Whitney theorem for complex polynomial mappings

Abstract

For given natural numbers d1, d2 we describe the topology of a generic polynomial mapping F= (f, g) : X→ C2, with deg f≤ d1 and deg g≤ d2. Here X is a complex plane or a complex sphere.
