Abstract

In the last decade, sensible urbanization gains additional quality in international urban designing. The term “Smart City” is essential to mix multiple info and communication technology (ICT) to manage the town. Nowadays, additional individuals prefer to board associate geographic area for sensible living. Therefore, the researcher/urban planner is developing “Smart City” models supported essential dimensions, governance, economy, setting, people, mobility, and living — theses existing customary model and definition designed by that specialize in European and American cities. The necessity for Indian sub-continent “Smart City” model has arisen through an associate initiative taken by Indian prime minister in 2014 to develop one hundred sensible cities. So, paper, Indian “Smart City” model defines with new dimensions Demographics Profile, Economic Profile, Infrastructure Profile, e-Governance& Computerization, Finance, Environmental, Progress Track, and Security per sub-continent of India. The model has eight dimensions and eighty indicators for a city. The distance-based algorithm (DBA) is used to rank the Indian “Smart City.” This algorithm decides on the bases of multiple indicators of the Indian “Smart City.” The Indian “Smart City” ranking is measure as per the computed distance of optimum values of indicators.
