Abstract

Supergravity technology has become pivotal in mineral separation, emerging as one of the most promising technologies today. In recent years, due to its enhancement of the mass transfer process, processing speed, small equipment footprint, simple and convenient operation, energy-saving and nonpolluting and a series of other advantages, supergravity technology has been widely used in the fields of chemical industry, materials, environment and mineral separation. This work summarizes the progress of supergravity technology and its research in mineral separation in a more systematic way, including the principle of supergravity technology, supergravity separation equipment, and specific applications in mineral processing. In addition, promising strategies and future research directions are presented to address the challenges and problems of the relatively little research in the field of mineral separation (i.e., mineral processing) by supergravity technology. This review can provide detailed information on the status of research on supergravity separation of mineral resources and provide important ideas for further improvement and development of efficient supergravity separation technology.
