Abstract

In this issue of Blood, Martínez-Cingolani et al identified that human thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), previously shown to be induced during skin inflammation, stimulates myeloid-related BDCA-1+ peripheral blood dendritic cells (DCs) to rapidly gain phenotypic characteristics of human epidermal Langerhans cells (LCs).
