Abstract

This study focuses on the Menyanthaceae found in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Southeast Brazil. It is based on a morphological analysis of herbaria collections, as well as on a review of the relevant literature. Only one species was registered for the state: Nymphoides humboldtiana, with wide distribution. Descriptions, figures, habitat data, phenology, and species distribution are also provided.
