Abstract
This study aims to develop teaching materials in digital form on the subject of writing rhymes based on Acehnese local wisdom using the animaker application. This study uses a research and development method with a research and development model by Borg & Gall.. The sample for this study was 75 students taken from each school by conducting three stages of small group trials, medium group trials, then large group trials. This study uses a probability sampling technique, namely random sampling. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that (1) learning to write rhymes requires digital teaching materials to accommodate the expected learning objectives, (2) the product design developed is guided by digital teaching materials and uses the help of animaker applications, (3) the results of the assessment of content experts and media experts are categorized "very good" (4) the product revision from the content expert leads to language clarity, while the product revision from the media expert's assessment leads to audio control; (5) the results of field trials on students were categorized as "very good"; (6) product revision based on field trials leads to cover design, addition of material and use of appropriate writing fonts. Based on the results of the research, this research product is feasible to developed and can be used as an alternative teaching material in learning to write, especially writing rhymes based on local wisdom.
