Phytochemical analysis showed presence of twenty-two flavonoids and isoflavonoids in the intact leaf and root of these species. The DART-MS data have been subjected to principal component analysis (PCA) which showed clear differentiation among the species and plant parts. It clearly indicated that the DART-MS technique followed by PCA is a quick and reliable method for the direct profiling and discrimination of Iris species and their plant parts.
