Abstract

The art of dance have many values dan character that can teached to the students by learning. The human multiple ability can developed by art education such as physical, perceptual, emotional, social, and creativity.This research is aim to analyze learning process and character building to students in dance learning. The result shows that the dance learning in primary school can increase student talent and interest in dance. By the dance learning, student are learned to know and understand the connection between his body part.By the dance learning process, student are also learned to appreciate the others, have ability to deal with tim, care to athers, humble, dicipline, love his culture. In this case, dancing skill is not the main purpose of learning process. The main purpose is student's development character, emotional social intelligence are the main purpose. The dancing is the side effects from the dance learning process.
