Epilepsia do lobo temporal: Mecanismos e perspectivas

Abstract

The article presents a brief review of the historical findings, epidemiological, and therapeutic treatment for epilepsy, with a focus on temporal lobe epilepsy. Presents data from proteomic studies in epileptic brain tissue and highlights the importance of the application of this method in the search for new therapeutic targets for temporal lobe epilepsy.
