Abstract

Against the background of the current state of culture problem of preservation and restoration of historical monuments of architecture is particularly significant in relation to the huge importance of saving the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan as a whole. However, radical changes in the environment, including geological, as a result of construction and human activities pose a serious threat to the maintenance of stability of monuments. Among the ways to protect the designs and materials of ancient buildings a very important role is played by questions of temperature and humidity, the choice of the optimal parameters of the medium and how to maintain them. The article provides a comparative analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of soil and ground water of mausoleum Arystan-Bab for 1984, 2004 and 2014.
