Abstract

Perivascular oedema was observed in the lungs of all rats subjected to carbon dioxide euthanasia. There was also an increased incidence of extravasation of blood compared to that seen in the lungs of rats killed by pentobarbitone sodium. © 1972, Royal Society of Medicine Press.
