Abstract

Power plant in Indonesia is still dominated by thermal plant from diesel fuel, gas and coal which cannot be renewed. The renewable energy potential in Indonesia is highly able to develop such as photovoltaic, wind turbine and micro hydro plant. Hybrid power plant system is a method of combining two or more plants in order to obtain the synergy which give a positive impact in technical (reliability supply system) and economic advantage. The main purpose of this research is to construct a controlling system of hybrid plant renewable energy to maintain the load supply by utilizing microcontroller ATMega2560 as the central of the control. The finding of this research is hybrid system which has constructed is well function with battery voltage value equal to 10 Volt as relay parameter to switch one power plant to another.
