Abstract

The automotive market is one of the largest durable markets for nonwovens, with over 40 parts currently using nonwoven materials. Next generation products are lighter and more cost effective. Globally, the automotive industry is segmented, with different regulations (e.g. on recycling) in Europe then in North America. Roll goods producers expect nonwovens applications to continue to expand, particularly in vehicle interiors.
