Abstract
AN ″ ULTIMATE STRENGTH METHOD ″ IS PROPOSED IN WHICH THE RESULTING FORCE PER UNIT OF LENGTH OF EACH WELD ELEMENT IS CALCULATED FROM AN EQUATION PRESENTED AND THE TOTAL RESISTING FORCES AND MOMENTS ARE PREDICTED BY SUMMING THE ELEMENTAL FORCES.
