Surgical treatment of lung cancer

Abstract

Surgical resection is a principal treatment modality in the early stages of non-small cell lung cancer. The risks of surgical procedures are decreasing due to advancements in surgical tech-niques. However, optimal treatment strategy in locally advanced stages is unclear. Neoadju-vant immunotherapy could be a future treatment alternative.
