Abstract
After the first corrected publication of this manuscript [Schumacher AC, Elbadawi LI, DeSalvo T, et al. Toxoplasmosis Outbreak Associated With Toxoplasma gondii-Contaminated Venison—High Attack Rate, Unusual Clinical Presentation, and Atypical Genotype. Clin Infect Dis;72(9):1557-1565. https://doi.org/10.1093/cid/ciaa285], a question was raised about the identification of the parasite in Figure 2. Following consultation with several pathologists, and out of an abundance of caution, Figure 2 and references to it were removed. None of the findings in the article are affected by the removal of Figure 2.
