Abstract
There are multiple strategies available today to assist patients with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis to live active and full lives. The important factors in achieving the goals of disease control and patient independence are early diagnosis, comprehensive management, patient and family education, and developing community awareness as to the limitations that RA and osteoarthritis place upon the patient.
