Abstract
Radio Frequency Identification refers to using transponders or tags affiliated with an object for the purpose of identification and tracking by means of radio waves. This paper focuses on container port operations, emphasizing on the current status of these operations and its business bottlenecks. Based on that, we discuss related solutions for improving efficiency from the perspective of orderly balance and seamless connection in different operational processes at the entrance gate of container terminals. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
