HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN KARAKTER PADA ANAK USIA DINI DI TK KABUPATEN PURWAKARTA

Abstract

Article History: The research aims to determine the level of emotional intelligence, character children aged 4-6 years and find the relationship between two variables. Quantitative Research using Correlation Studies is the method in research, through data collection by distributing the questionnaire link online. The research location is at the residence of each parent of early childhood students in Purwakarta Regency, with a population of 18 schools and 138 children as subjects. Based on the results of Pearson Correlation Test regarding self-awareness with 6 aspects of a child's character, the relationship has a score of 1.048. Meanwhile, the results of the Pearson Correlation Test regarding managing emotions with 6 aspects of character have a score of 1.913. There is a significant relationship to emotional intelligence and character in children through the r value of 0.41 in the medium correlation category.
