ERP IMPLEMENTATION SUCCESS: IMPACT OF CRITICAL FACTORS AND EMPLOYEE DIVERSITY AT PT. ALAM PALM PLANTATION IN NORTH SUMATRA

Abstract

Objectives: This academic article examines the influence of workforce diversity, business process improvement, top management commitment, and training on the success of ERP implementation at PT. Anugerah Langkat Makmur in North Sumatra. The impact of workforce diversity on the success of ERP implementation is proposed as a research novelty. Methods: Data were obtained by surveying 94 employees using ERP software. The analysis method used was Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS software. This study also aims to test direct relationships between workforce diversity and successful ERP implementation; business process improvement and successful ERP implementation; top management commitment and business process improvement; top management commitment and successful ERP implementation; top management commitment and training; and training and successful implementation. Results: The results showed that workforce diversity, business process improvement, top management commitment, and training had a positive impact on the success of ERP implementations. Additionally, all direct relationships tested in this study were positive and significant. Conclusion: The study concludes that the success of ERP implementation at PT. Anugerah Langkat Makmur is positively influenced by workforce diversity, business process improvement, top management commitment, and training. This highlights the importance of these factors in achieving successful ERP outcomes, with workforce diversity emerging as a significant contributor.
