Development of Interactive Teaching Materials for the Freier Vortrag Course to Improve the Speaking Competence of Students of the German Education Study Program

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to develop interactive teaching materials for the Freier Vortrag course to improve speaking competence of students of the German Language and Literature Department. The specific objectives of this study are (1) to describe the process of developing Freier Vortrag introductory teaching materials to improve the students' speaking competence (2) to describe the product quality of developing Freier Vortrag teaching materials to improve students' speaking competence. This development research uses the concept of Borg and Gall. The existence of textbooks whose content is adjusted to the RPS (Semester Learning Plan) can be a study guide for students and make it easier for students to understand the Freier Vortrag lecture material.
