The citizen’s guide to climate success: overcoming myths that hinder progress

Abstract

This book has had a long gestation. I apologize to anyone whose early contribution I’ve now forgotten. I thank above all my partner, Esther Verheyen, who would drop every- thing on short notice to review a chapter, even while she effortlessly directed her genetics research lab, wrote and reviewed academic papers, taught university courses, and parented her two teenagers. I also thank my children, Ingram, Kjartan, Torsten, and Sigbrit, for their feedback on my work and continuous help in finding the humorous and fun side of life.
