Land area determination can be calculated by several methods and utilize data from various sources. The methods used are circle approach method, polygon method and others. In this study, it aims to calculate the area of 19 sub-districts in Semarang district using circle approach method and Karney polygon method by utilizing Google Earth and GADM. The research measures used are 1) finding the coordinates of the subdistrict boundary with Google Earth and GADM, 2) calculating the area using the Circle approach method and Karney polygon method, and 3) comparative analysis of land area results. The results showed that land area using the circle approach method with Google Earth obtained a difference of 11.61% more than the reference area. While with GADM using polygon Karney showed a difference of 9.71% more than the reference area and using the circle approach method obtained a difference of 13.55% more than the reference area.
