Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a problem-based learning science learning module to improve students' critical thinking skills on the subject of the human respiratory system in junior high school. The research method uses the Borg and Gall development model which consists of eight stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design development, product design validation, product design revision, small group product trials, product revision and final product. The data from the analysis of the module feasibility questionnaire by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of achievement of the eligibility criteria for the problem-based learning science learning module developed is feasible to use with a percentage of 92% for the material (very feasible) 82.5% for the media (very feasible) and 86.7% for the language (very decent). The practicality of science-based learning modules to improve students' critical thinking skills on the human respiratory system material based on data from student and science teacher responses, including very practical criteria used with a percentage of 86.97% for student responses and 79.06% for teacher responses.
