Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the state of the economy in Ireland, and aspects of globalisation in the country. Topics discussed include the public deficit of the country decreased by two percent of gross domestic product (GDP), the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) between 2009 and 2013, and the move of the government to advance the approach of developing the potential talent by adopting labour market policies.
