Abstract

Z-score LORETA neurofeedback (NFB) has been found in case reports to be an effective and promising form of neuromodulation, relieving many neuropsychiatric symptoms. LORETA imaging that identifies dysregulation in the structures of the brain that are involved in pain regulation has made it possible to design a targeted NFB therapy. This article describes the effective delivery of targeted LORETA NFB to treat chronic pain in four selected patients. © 2013 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
