Abstract
The study of job seeking is a useful starting point for describing not only recent changes in the structure of the labor market, but also to understand the functioning of social bonds in contemporary society. It helps to reveal how social relations are mobilized and the efficacy of social bonds, indicating the importance of non-market mechanisms on the organization and reproduction of social life at large, and more specifically on the functioning of the labor market.
