Abstract

It is designed to estimate convective properties using a cloud model that interacts with the mesoscale model in a physically consistent manner. The cloud model is initiated by and interacts with the grid-scale circulation without being constrained in instantaneous equilibrium with the grid-scale flow. The parameterization is designed for use in conjunction with explicit moist processes. -from Authors
