Abstract

The tamarillo fruit is thought to have strong antioxidant properties and includes vitamins and other nutrients vital to human health. A randomized posttest-only control group design was used in the experimental trial, which tested 24 Wistar rats. After ethanol and flavonoid glycoside extract was administered, Cu-ZnSOD expression was dramatically increased, and the MDA concentration was markedly decreased. Rats with the highest levels of physical activity received an oral dose of a flavonoid glycoside extract, boosted Cu, ZnSOD expression, and lowered MDA levels in the liver tissue. The findings showed that flavonoid glycoside extract's antioxidants could maintain Cu, ZnSOD levels in the rat liver with maximum physical activity. According to the findings of this study, it can be said that in contrast to CuZnSOD expression and MDA content in Wistar rat liver tissue that did not receive flavonoid glycoside extract, flavonoid glycoside extract from tamarillo was much more able to increase CuZnSOD expression and decrease MDA content.
