Abstract

Based on many years of experience producing military simulators, Ferranti Computer Systems Ltd (Cheadle Heath Division), has developed a new range of standard modules to provide a versatile radar training package. Although at its conception the equipment was aimed at the simulation of agile, airborne, tracking radars and their attendant ECCM (electronic counter-counter measures), this in no way precludes its use in the more mundane surface vessel environment where the high resolution and wide dynamic range are of utmost importance. A description of the new Comprehensive Radar Effects Simulator Trainer is presented.
