Abstract
The article focuses on a report on pregnant emergency physicians within the context of emergency department (ED) setting, which was discussed at the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) Women in Emergency Medicine Interest Group at the 2010 CAEP conference in Montreal. Topics discussed include the experience at assisting pregnant emergency physicians at the Ottawa Hospital, recommendations covering pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and postpartum periods, and maternity leave.
