Abstract

This paper presents the problem of the tremendous amount and quality of texts from authors of Mapuche origin which are placed in the fluctuating environment of discourse and metadiscourse. This present and relevant phenomenon is observed from the point of view of the disciplinary mutation phenomenon in a broad theoretical perspective that looks for explanations of the relationship between discourse and metadiscourse, texts and metatexts, and the linguistic and semiotic processes involved in the discussion of the nature of written poetic discourse and the opposition of intercultural and indigenous categories as identity options.
