Abstract
When a comprehensive approach to the sequencing of BRCA1 and BRCA2 is used in Japanese women with ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancer, germline mutations are found at a higher rate than previously reported. This study provides support for universal genetic testing in this patient population, but the larger question of the most appropriate genetic testing strategy remains to be answered.
