Abstract

The recent developments in Singapore are a reminder that eugenic doctrines, in their more benign forms, retain much of their plausibility for large sectors of public opinion. Indeed, the appeal seems not to be confined to politically conservative societies, but is apparent even in the People's Republic of China, where there have been recent calls for positive eugenics. -from Author
