Abstract

In the same way that education has the responsibility of promoting job insertion, employability is recognized as a competence for achieving and maintaining employment, which is why employability is a central axis in education. The Incheon Declaration and Education 2030 Sustainable Development Goal 4 highlight the importance of basic skills to address social vulnerability and to achieve full employment. However, in the scientific literature on employability there is no agreement on the indicators that comprise it. Our objective is to define which indicators are relevant for the development of employability. To do this, we analyze the employability indicators used by 30 Spanish insertion companies (EI) to carry out the training itineraries of insertion workers (PTI). The results show a great heterogeneity of indicators. Most of them are individual characteristics, to a lesser extent we have found personal circumstances and contextual factors appear practically non-existent. This article ends by highlighting the training-work link and the comprehensive training of the person.
