Abstract
The article describes the case of a 47-year-old man presented with multiple sclerosis (MS) and diagnosed with hyperthyroidism with positive thyroid-specific autoantibodies. Topics discussed include results of some procedures performed on the patient including immunoassay based on streptavidin-biotin interaction and biotin interference with the test as the reason for discrepancies between the clinical presentation and laboratory findings of patients taking biotin.
