KEPRIBADIAN TOKOH SENIMAN DAN GADIS MUDA DALAM CERPEN WAJH AL-HAQIQĀH

Abstract

This article aims at describing the personalities of characters in Wajh Al-Haqiqāh shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm based on Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of personality. Data used in this research were obtained from primary and secondary data. Primary data source in this research is Wajh Al-Haqiqāh shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm and secondary data sources are books, journals, and internet sources relevant to this study. The problem analyzed in this research is the personality of each character in Wajh Al-Haqiqāh shortstory by Taufīq Al-Chakīm. When explaining the research problem, the researchers applied Cal Gustav Jung’s theory of personality. The results of analysis show that each character has different personalities. The structure of human’s soul consists of two worlds, consciousness and unconsciousness.
