Following a brief overview of the case study methodology, this chapter offers recommendations for designing and writing up case study researcher that teacher educators or practitioners can carry out in their contexts. The author draws on his own experiences enacting case study research as a teacher educator and offers suggestions for: formulating research questions, seeking approval to conduct research, determining how theory can shape varying lines of inquiry, gathering multiple sources of data, and analyzing data to write up case study research.
