Memórias de Viajantes: Paisagens e Lugares de Um Mundo Novo

Abstract

Resumo O texto enfoca paisagem e lugar como receptores de memória, de como a memória contri-bui na constituição de categorias espaciais. A partir dos relatos de viagem de Jean de Lery e de Hans Staden, eu procuro mostrar a contribuição que a geografia humanista pode oferecer ao estudo dos lugares de memória, definidos como categorias espaciais referentes à memória. Starting from the reports of trip of Jean of Lery and Hans Staden, I try to show the contribution that the humanist geography can offer for the study from the places of memory, defined as space categories linked to the study of the memory.
